Weekly Block Diwas meetings held across Ramban district

Ramban: District Administration, Ramban, today held weekly Block Diwas meetings at 5 designated locations of the district viz Sangaldan, Banihal, Batote, Ramban and Ukhral.

Senior officers attended the Block Diwas and stressed upon improving the public service delivery system.

District Development Council Chairperson, Dr. Shamshad Shan presided over the Block Diwas meeting at Sangaldan which was attended by the SDM, Gool, Gias-Ul- Haq along with subdivision-level officers.

The people apprised the DDC chairperson about their issues pertaining to basic amenities and other essential services. The officers present on the occasion responded to the issues by giving details of activities being undertaken by them.

Dr. Shan directed the officers to take immediate necessary action to redress all the issues highlighted by the people belonging to different Panchayats of block Sangaldan.

Responding to the issues, the DDC chairperson assured the public that their legitimated demands would be fulfilled in a time bound manner. She also distributed Domicile and other certificates issued by the Revenue Department among the beneficiaries.

SDM Ramsoo, Dil Mir Choudhary along with PRIs and concerned officers attended the programme at Block Headquarters; Ukharal and listened to the grievances of the people.

Similarly, SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abass Bhat, attended Block Diwas along with PRI members in Banihal and resolved several issues, besides reviewing the status of action taken by the officers on previous directions.

Block Diwas meeting was also held in Ramban and Batote blocks.
