Meeting at the Youth Innopark of PetrSU
At the Youth Innopark, students met with Igor Leonidovich Krasnov, Associate Professor of the Department of English at PetrSU, a participant in the Fulbright program.
On March 16, at the Youth Innopark of PetrSU, students of 3, 4, 5 courses of the direction “Pedagogical Education” with two training profiles “Geography and Economics” of the Department of Geosciences and Geotechnology of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences of PetrSU met with the Associate Professor of the Department of English of the Institute of Foreign Languages Igor Krasnov, a Fulbright program participant. As part of the program, Igor Krasnov lived and worked at a US university in Washington state.
Igor Leonidovich spoke about his path to the profession, about participation in various language learning programs, about his impressions of traveling around America. Interesting photographs introduced the students to nature, some cities, and the country’s economy. The questions asked by the students concerned different aspects of the life of ordinary Americans: food preferences, characteristics of student life, the system of payment for tuition and their attitude towards foreigners, etc. The students asked many questions and asked Igor Leonidovich to tell about the education system as a whole. The students wanted to learn firsthand about the social, political and economic aspects of life in America.
