Celebration of 75 Years of India’s Independence: Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav
Aligarh, March 18: As per the guidelines of Ministry of Education the Department of Commerce, AMU, organized a Seminar on Celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence- ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava’.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest, Prof Shakeel Samdani (Dean, Faculty of Law AMU, Aligarh) highlighted the significance of March 12 when the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi started the Dandi March. He also congratulated the Central Government for taking up the initiative to start the celebrations of 75th Independence Day. He also highlighted the contribution of Tipu Sultan and his struggle against the British. He highlighted the role of Momin Conference, Jamit Ul Ulama-i-Hind, AMU and other organizations in freedom struggle.
Prof M Mohsin Khan welcomed the guest. Prof Imran Saleem, Dean Faculty of Commerce, Prof Nawab Ali Khan, Chairman Department of Commerce, along with faculty members, Students and office staff attended the event . Large number of participants attended the online session. The event was coordinated by Dr Naghma Azhar Assistant Professor and Dr Sheema Tarab Assistant Professor.
