Weekly Block Divas: DC Samba listens to public grievances at Vijaypur

Vijaypur: To get first-hand account of the public grievances, Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, today presided over the weekly Block Divas programme, here at Vijaypur.

SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma, BDC Chairpersons, District and block level officers, PRI members and a large number of people were present at the daylong programme.

Delegations from different Panchayats, besides scores of individuals apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the problems faced being by them in day to day life. The delegations also included BDC Chairperson Vijaypur block, Yogeshwar Singh.

The main issues highlighted during the programme included coverage of left out families under BPL/APL ration, increasing the ambit of social security schemes, upgrading the infrastructure of Vijaypur Hospital, increasing staff in PHCs, pendency under Ayushman Bharat golden cards and others like Road connectivity, drinking water availability. The provision to stock adequate PDD transformers in view of ensuing summers was also highlighted by the locals.

The DC gave patient hearing to the delegations and passed on the spot directions for redressal of their grievances. She assured that the highlighted issues of public importance will be taken up with higher authorities besides all the pendency and public service delivery slackness shall be reviewed thoroughly.

During the block divas, revenue Dept distributed 20 certificates including legal heir, domicile, marriage certificates, income and category certificates among the applicants.

Meanwhile, block divas meetings were also held at Sumb block presided over by Additional DC Suram Chand Sharma and at Ghagwal block presided over by SDM, Ram Kesh Sharma in which host of public grievances were taken up and addressed.
