DIC Samba organises awareness prog on PMEGP, other self-employment schemes
Samba : An awareness Programme on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) GEMS, TReDs, Udyam Registration and New Central Scheme for UT of J&K was today organized by District Industries Centre, Samba here at Tara Palace, Ramgarh.
During the camp, the general public, especially youth of the area were made aware regarding the Centre government’s PMEGP Scheme for starting micro enterprises. He also informed them about the incentives and benefits of PMEGP and other schemes of the Industries and Commerce Department.
The General public was also made aware about various schemes by officers of related departments like agriculture, Horticulture, KVIB,KVIC, Bank, handicraft etc.
Chairperson DDC, Samba, Keshav Dutt Sharma, ADDC, Rachna Sharma; DDC Member Ramgarh-B S.Sarbjit Singh; DDC Member Ramgarh-C, Anita Choudhary; BDC Chairperson, Ramgarh, Darshan Lal; LDM Ajoy Koul; Assistant Director Handloom and Handicrafts, Malika Raina; besides Officers/Officials of Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, KVIB, KVIC, Bank/RSETI and around 150 locals were present at the camp.
On the sidelines of the programme, the GM DIC also inaugurated a restaurant sponsored under PMEGP Scheme and appreciated the efforts of the proprietor of the restaurant for the initiative.
