Several deputations call on DDC Poonch

Poonch: Several public deputations today met District development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet and projected the issues of public importance.

A deputation of Shia Federation, led by President Shia Federation Jammu Province Ashiq Khan and others including Adv. Iftkhar Ahmed Bazmi, Bashir Mir Vice President, Jaffer Hussain District President Shia Federation met the DDC and brought several developmental needs and issues into his notice. They demanded uninterrupted power, Water supply, removal of encroachments in various vicinities under the limit of Poonch municipal council besides several other issues pertaining to the public .The DDC gave a patient hearing and assured that all their genuine issues will be resolved on priority basis.

Another deputation led by District Development Council member Imran Zafar and comprising senior citizens, Social Activists from Sub Division Mendhar also met the Deputy Commissioner.

The Deputation members had detailed discussions on key developmental issues pertaining to their areas. They demanded further promptness in delivery of essential services in the area and time bound completion of development projects for the early benefits of the people of the area.

Later, another deputation of Municipal Contractors approached the DDC and raised the issue of pending work done claims. They requested for early clearance so that they can execute ongoing works in a quality manner.

During interaction with visitors, Inder Jeet sought their cooperation in dealing with issues of public interest. He assured all the delegations that their hardships shall be resolved in a time bound manner. He asked them to act as a bridge between administration, general public and government schemes so that the last man in the queue reaps the benefits of government schemes.
