Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cost and Management Accountant (CMA)’s Prathibhotsav, a state level one day convention for students held in the city at Visvesvaraya Bhavan at Khairatabad on Saturday

This State Level Convention for Students was Inaugurated by CMS Sanjay Gupta, President of Institute of Cost Accountants of India(ICAI), a premier statutory professional accountancy body in India. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is a Statutory body formed under an Act of Parliament.

Addressing the 700 plus students gathering who assembled from 40 different colleges, Sanjay Gupta told students to change Chlata Hai attitude to Badal Sakthahai attitude.

We are living in India, the country of opportunities he said. The power is in your hand he told them amidst cheers from the students. By the year 2030, 70 per cent of India’s population will be youth. Then competition will hot up, and fittest only will survive. Equip yourself well, he told them. Channelise your energies. Change along with the changing times.

Accounting will disappear in next three years. We are living in PayTM era. The 90 per cent of bank branches will be closed. So equip yourselves for future. You are the future brand ambassadors of the country, he told. Them.

CMA is a Green Profession said Cost Management Professional Ramana Murthy. There is no dearth of jobs for CMA students he told. Right now five lakh students are studying cost management in India, he told them.

CMA Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala, President of Hyderabad Chapter of ICAI; Dr. PVS Jagan Mohan Rao VP of SAFA, a forum of professional accountancy bodies which is an apex body of SAARC Nations and B.V. Ramana Murthy and other CMA professionals graced the inaugural function.

Elocution, Quiz, Mock Annual General Meeting Competition held during the day. A business plan presentation competition, Commerce Wizard competition was also held. There will be Dance, Ghoomar—Solo Dance; Classical Dance, Group Dance, Singing, Instrumental and Personality Contest, Fashion Show will be held. Winners were given away prizes. The meritorious Cost Management Students presented trophies and appreciation certificates.
