LPU Entrepreneurship Summit 20+top Entrepreneurs motivated Students
Jalandhar: Startup School at Lovely Professional University organized its 2nd annual entrepreneurship summit “Indian Entrepreneurship Congress (IE-Con) 2018”, where 20+top entrepreneurs motivated thousands of LPU students to think big and adopt entrepreneurial career. On this occasion, LPU also organized ‘Idea Pitching Competition’ for world’s best entrepreneurial plan to let participating students from across the country win grand prize of ‘One Million USD (about Rs 6.5 Crore)’. From Mumbai Dabbawalla CEO to Volunteers, CEOs, Founders, Authors, Consultants, and Innovation Specialists from United Nations, Hexi, Carnival Cinemas, Business World, Tajurba International, Storm the Norm and more were specifically present to motivate the students. The conference proved to be a lifetime experience for the students to listen to the successful entrepreneurs and their journey through their ups and downs and interact with them and learn as to what they are working on now.
Opening the inaugural session, United Nations Volunteer Medical Officer Dr Raminder Dhillon took several examples from her hardworking life and motivated students to think big & positive and stretch their mind to be problem solver on humane lines, irrespective of any caste, creed, and nationality. Addressing on Identifying Business Opportunities, Co-Founder Tajurba International & Investor Suresh Mansharamani guided students to keep on learning as much they can and adopt networking to be super successful. Storm the Norm fame Ranjan Malik advised students to adopt new thoughts and students must understand if there will be no experimentation then there is no innovation. Anurag Batra of Business World asked students to believe in themselves and their doings. If students want to do something great in their life, they should themselves find the new way for the same to see their dreams come true. Similar suggestions were forwarded by CEO Dabbawala Pawan Aggarwal, VP Carnival Cinemas Kunal Sawhney, CEO Hexi Pankaj Aggarwal and more.
Addressing a massive gathering of 2500 students and top entrepreneurs for Indian Entrepreneurship Congress (IE-CON 2018) at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: “India always propagated entrepreneurship, is propagating in present, and will continue favouring it in future also. Since time immemorial famous persons and groups from different countries have been reaching India to gain education and entrepreneurship. Our university has coveted ranking, placement, research, admissions, infrastructure and other records to its credit, and now we want to see maximum of our students emerge as great entrepreneurs in the world to provide jobs to so many others.”
Indian Entrepreneurship congress proved a kind of festival at the campus, where the spirit of Entrepreneurship was celebrated to the full. IE-Con 2018 had four sessions where renowned entrepreneurs including LPU alumni Co-founder of Webit India Bibin Babu, Playback Singer of Bollywood Shilpa Surroch, CEO Parsa Foods Javid and more shared their experiences and wisdom with budding Entrepreneurs. The event brought home a ton of knowledge, marvellous networking, relationships and like-minded people. Participants got an opportunity to learn from the best and most experienced entrepreneurs, investors and mentors. Visiting LPU alumni also participated in panel discussions and judged the competition part of the event also. Other than alumni, Product Head OYO Rooms Talvinder Singh, Founders Manuring IT Amit Arora, Techkilla Technologies Yashi Mishra, Artusion Music Tavleen Singh, DigiMantra Labs Sachin Khosla and more also graced the occasion.
