GCW Parade NCC Cadets host medical awareness program

Jammu: To mark World Health Day, 2 J&K Girls BN, NCC Cadets of Government College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu organised one day medical awareness camp on the campus.
Dr. Jitender Gupta (MO) delivered an awareness lecture about “how and why to protect ourselves?” A team of paramedics of Government Ayurvedic Hospital was also invited in the college.
After this, the NCC Cadets under the supervision of paramedical staff distributed free immunity medicines among staff and other students of the college.
NCC Cadets also visited orphanage with healthy immunity body building fruit and food for them.
In another activity performed by the NCC Cadets, “BHARTIYA YOG SANSTHAN” was invited to the college to make all students and staff members aware about the benefits of yoga in living a happy life.
Col. Virender Singh Jamwal (retd.) executive member and Yog Manjri Parbhari Bhartiya Yog Sansthan JKUT delivered a thought provoking lecture and taught the participants a number of yoga Asanas and their benefits to human body.
Nearly 40 NCC Cadets took active part in the programme , while some of them shared their views on the topic. The NCC Cadets also made posters on World Health Day with different messages. The programme was organised under the supervision of College Principal, DR. S. P. Sarswat and ANO Lt. Suman Lata ,co-ordinator Mamta Sharma and other staff members . The principal of the college appreciated the cadets for their wonderful performances and thanked them for being active at every event.
