DC Doda holds introductory meet with BDC Chairpersons
Doda: Deputy Commissioner, Doda Vikas Sharma, today held an introductory meeting with the Block Development Chairpersons as well as key functionaries of the rural development department here at conference hall of DC office.
During the meet the BDC Chairpersons highlighted various issues of public importance and for the smooth functioning of institutional set up.
The issues raised in the meeting included filling up of the vacancies in the health institutions, one time approval of the MGNREGA plan, accord of Administrative approvals to 14 FC works above 02 lakh, construction of Panchayat Ghars, start of vaccination drive of livestock in the far off places, execution of cement works, re-organisation of Administrative setups in Gandoh Sub division which lies in Kishtwar district, rectification in PMAY survey, reshuffle of over stayed staff, purchase of computers for Panchayats and furniture for BDC offices etc.
Directions were given to the ACD Doda to expedite the estimation of all B2V-3 projected works and to tender out all the works alongwith Administrative approvals in coordination with REW wing within seven days. He was further asked to provide handholding to the persons, identified by the panchayats for acting as contractors to take up the works of B2V-3.
Moreover, the DC directed the ACD to tie up with the SE PWD and PDD in this regard and submit the progress on daily basis regarding total applications received and cards issued on priority basis.
With regard to the purchase of computers for panchayats and furniture for BDC Offices, it was apprised that the funds for purchase of computers have been released to the BDOs, while 99% of furniture has been purchased.
The DC asked the DPO to submit the progress on daily basis and also to rectify the faulty supply system which causes unreasonable delay in getting the commitments done.
Regarding verification of works of 16-17 & 17-18, the DC directed the ACD to take up the matter with ACR who is the head of the verification Committee at district level to submit the progress to the DC office, so that the matter was taken up with the higher authorities for release of funds.
The BDC Chairpersons of sub division Gandoh also raised the issue of delay in vaccination of animal livestock, for which the DC directed the concerned to take concrete action in this regard.
The DC directed all the BDOs to maintain utmost transparency and accountability while executing their day to day Office functioning. He asked them to maintain tour diaries and conduct more field visits alongwith their staff for effective and efficient public delivery system.
