Ural federal university: UrFU Hosts Eurasian Studies School

The first stage of the Eurasian School of Young Scientists took place at the Ural Federal University. 70 students, undergraduates and postgraduates from seven universities of Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan took part in it. School organizers – UrFU, Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi and Kurgan State University.

“The idea of the school is to unite leading scientists and active young researchers, to tell about current topics and developments in the humanities,” notes the organizer of the school, head of the department for organizing scientific and innovative work of UrFU, Yulia Zapariy. – On April 10, online meetings of leading scientists with workshop participants took place, at which they decided on the topic and research methodology, as well as the format of work, the result of which will be an article in a scientific journal. “

School participants chose one of 10 workshops to work on the article under the guidance of a leading scientist from KazNU, KSU and UrFU. In May, representatives of the workshops will gather again to present the interim results of the work. It is expected that by the end of the year the teams will be able to prepare articles and submit them to journals indexed in WoS and Scopus.

This year, the organizers did the following workshops: Soviet everyday life in office documents, the discourse of the coronavirus pandemic, the Eastern Mediterranean in the era of geopolitical transformations of the 13th-15th centuries, gender aspects of mobilization policy during the Great Patriotic War, etc.
