Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75): DIPR spreads COVID awareness through cultural prog in GDC Majalta

Jammu: Department of Information and Public Relations’ Cultural Wing Jammu today organized a theme based cultural programme on COVID-19 Dos’s & Don’ts and Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration here in the premises of Government Degree College, Majalta.

Principal of the host College, Dr B B Anand was the chief guest.

While addressing gathering, the chief said that the objective of the programme was to generate awareness among the masses regarding protection against COVID-19 pandemic.

He appreciated the efforts of Information Department for creating awareness through the medium of culture and urged the Department to hold more such events in the near future.

While highlighting the significance of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav event, the Principal said that the main aim is to celebrate the country’s glory and progress which it achieved in 75 years.

The Artists of Cultural wing DIPR Jammu presented theme based scintillating cultural programme which mesmerized by the audience on the occasion.

A theme based Dogri song regarding COVID-19 “Asain Saaren Gee Samjhana aia Asain Corona Gee Nasaana Aia….” presented by Mohinder Kumar and Dogri Song “Jammu meri Zind Kashmir Meri Jaan…….” presented by Surjeet Singh were highly appreciated by the audience with round of applause.

Similarly, a theme based Cultural programme on COVID-19 and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav was organized by DIPR Cultural Wing Jammu at Panchayat Ghar Majalta. The Sarpanch of the Panchayat Ram Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.

Among others, staff members of the college, including senior artists of Cultural Wing Jammu, Balbir Singh, Suresh Sharma, Amit Kumar were present on the occasion.
