Weekly Block Diwas meetings held across district Ramban

Ramban: District Administration, Ramban organized weekly Block Diwas in different Blocks of district to improve quality of public service delivery besides urging the people to follow covid-19 SoPs.
During the Block Diwas, officers resolved several local issues pertaining to their departments on the spot.
Block Diwas events were held at each designated location including Sangaldan, Banihal, Ukhral, Batote and Ramban where public representatives, PRIs and general masses highlighted their issues for which concerned officers assured quick action.
Several issues including water supply, roads connectivity, upgradation of schools, better health services and other related issues were projected during the programmes and concerned officers assured early resolution of the same.
The issues discussed at Sangaldan included availability of potable water supply at Chachwa, installation of electric poles at Seripura and uninterrupted power supply in Sangaldan area.
The people highlighted their problem at Banihal including quality drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply during Ramzan and traffic congestion in Banihal Bazar.
At Ukhral, Tehsildar urged PRIs and general public to cooperate in the implementation of all preventative measures and ordered issued by the authorities to prevent spread of 2nd wave of Covid infection including operation of passengers vehicle at 50% of the authorized seating capacity. He also urged them to wear face masks, washing hands and maintaining physical distance.
The Officers assured the public of full cooperation from all the departments for mitigation of their issues at their doorsteps.
