DDC Rajouri listens to people’s issues in block Panjgrain, Manjakote
Rajouri: To take stock of the public grievances at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today visited block Panjgrain and Manjakote.
During his tour, the DDC interacted with the public and their representatives who raised a number of issues and demanded adequate water supply, macadamization and renovation of roads, upgradation of educational and health institutions besides other related issues were also projected on the occasions.
Specific issues and demands included up-gradation of High School Panjgrain to Higher secondary level, shortage of staff at PHC Gambir Bhramana, sanctioning of pension cases, shortage of electricity poles, shifting of cutting tailoring centre from Thandiksssi to Gambir Bhramana, establishment of a seed store etc.
At Manjakote, the BDC chairperson Shamshad Begum, sarpanches and other citizens raised a number of issues. They demanded GDC for Manjakote, better internal road connectivity, receiving stations, transformers and poles for Naili, Hyatpura, pending payment of bunkers, repair of Bimber Gali to Kakora road, repair of panchayat Ghars, up gradation of GPS kotli to Middle school kotli.
Other issued raised by the locals included Munsiff court for Manjakote, Trauma Center, payment of pending salary of RETs, implementation of Awas plus survey, sanctioning of more bunkers, playground for Tehsil Manjakote, shadow areas to be brought under connectivity, establishment of camp office of JE JPDCL and Jal Shakti etc.
Most of the issues were resolved on the spot, while the DDC directed the EXN Jal Shakti and JPDCL to make the camp office functional within seven days. The EXN PWD and PMGSY were asked to carry out the minor repair works of the road.
Block Medical Officer Manjakote was asked to register all eligible beneficiaries under the SEHAT scheme, while Revenue Department was asked to ensure all the Government institutions are entered on revenue record.
The DDC also sought the active cooperation of the general public in the fight against the CoronaVirus pandemic and urged upon them to follow all the COVID19 SOPs to keep themselves and others safe from the infection.
The DDC advised PRIs to play an active role in the planning and ensure that Gram Sabhas are being organised regularly.
Later, he also paid visits to the Primary Health Centre Manjakote and took a review of the Health care services being provided to the patients.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police, Liaqat Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development , Sushil Khajuria, EXN PWD, Mohd Zubair, EXN Jal Shakti, Mushtaq Ahmed, EXN PMGSY, Subash Chander, EXN JPDCL, Noratam Kumar, Tehsildar Manjakote, Mohd Javid , BDO Manjakote, Mohd Nawaz, BDO Panjgrain, Noreen Choudhary, CDPO, Najma Akhter and other district and sectoral Officers.
