Mr Wasim Ahmad’s demise mourned at AMU
Aligarh: Noted Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumnus, former Member of Parliament-Rajya Sabha, AMU Court member and Executive Council member, Mr Wasim Ahmad passed away after a cardiac arrest in late hours of Sunday.
Extending deep sympathies to Mr Wasim’s bereaved family, AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor said, “I pray for your comfort and strength during this tough time. May his soul rest in peace”.
The Vice Chancellor added that Mr Wasim’s demise is not only a big loss for the AMU fraternity, but it is also a personal loss for him.
Mr Wasim was passionate about politics from student days and was elected as the Secretary of AMU Students Union.
The deceased was residing with his brother, Nasim Ahmad in the Sir Syed Nagar area of Aligarh for the past months.
