DC Rajouri visits GMC&AH; takes stock of medical oxygen supply
Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today paid a visit to GMC&AH and took stock of the availability of the medial oxygen supply, quality health services, medical facilities being provided to the patients and Covid arrangements here.
Among the others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sheema Nabi; Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamim un Nissa Bhatti; Nodal Officer COVID Control Room, Dr Javed and Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Mohd Zubair accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
While inquiring about the availability of the medical oxygen supply, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised that presently 32 oxygen cylinders with a capacity of 07 cubic meters each are functioning in the hospital. It was also informed that the material for the installation of the oxygen concentrator plant has been received yesterday and the work on the installation of the same is being carried out on a war footing basis and would be completed before 03 May this year.
It was further informed that the upcoming Oxygen concentrator Plant will help in augmenting bed capacities in the district for successful treatment of Covid-19 positive patients.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the measures being taken by the Health Department to curb the pandemic in the district and urged upon the concerned officers to put in place added efforts to provide the best possible treatment to the COVID patients and take all necessary steps to counter the pandemic in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the masses to follow all the SOPs regarding COVID19 to keep themselves and others safe from the CoronaVirus infection.
