Sagar Chitre Principal ITM Institute of Hotel Management, stated that ‘our only mission is that these hardworking and selfless BEST Bus Drivers and Conductors should get equal importance and people should learn to value their contribution. Pandemic or no pandemic, BEST is one of the oldest lifelines of the city that has been connecting different points of the city. The bus drivers don’t look at climate, season or weather and now even a life-threatening pandemic, but just continue to serve us. In return, we as responsible citizens must take a step and serve them whenever possible. It’s an honour for ITM IHM students and teaching staff for getting this opportunity.”

Due to the ongoing pandemic-induced lockdown, there was a time where even local trains were shut but still BEST buses were plying. Though the doctors, healthcare workers and police left no scope for any compromise of the safety of the common man, the effort of bus drivers and conductors throughout this phase has been commendable. They too risked themselves, their families and continued to provide services.
