AMU: Help Desk for families of deceased employees

Aligarh: A Help Desk has been constituted to assist the families of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Teaching and Non-Teaching employees, who lost their lives in the Covid pandemic.

In an official notice the AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS) informed that the Help Desk will assist in processing the papers and documents for retirement benefits/ family pension issues and appointment of dependent family members under the Compassionate Appointment Scheme in accordance with AMU rules with immediate effect.

“For retirement benefits/ family pension issues, the dependent family members of the deceased employees are requested to contact Mr Syed Shahid Yezdani (UDC, Service Book and Pension Section, Office of the Registrar, Phone: 9897775494); while for appointments under the Compassionate Appointment Scheme, dependent family members of the deceased employees can contact Mr Suhail Iqbal (LDC, Administration NT Section, Office of the Registrar, Phone: 6395580341)”, stated the official notice.
