Building a bridge in legal education between Brooklyn Law School and IFIM Law College
Bengaluru, March 9: IFIM Law College, Bengaluru, and Brooklyn Law School, New York recently signed an MoU to enable future legal practitioners to evolve with the ever changing legal landscape and to improve the quality of legal education, making the most of the resources available at both institutions.
The MoU lays the groundwork for collaboration between the two institutes for academic and research activities including:
· Running jointly a Start-up Law Incubator Clinic
· Organize yearly an International Moot Court Competition
· Organizing and hosting joint conferences
· Summer programs
· Joint research and publications
· Faculty and student exchange
“Signing on Brooklyn Law School is a means to bridge the gap and ensure internationalism between the two institutes as well as the countries. The exposure that our students will get through this collaboration will be tremendous. They will get a real feel of how the legal system operates in an international space,” said Sirish Tamvada, Dean, IFIM Law College.
“With the influx of global companies entering India, there is a rising need for bright minds to assist with the growing requirement. Legal education is making great headway as lawyers are in great demand to propagate the right practice,” added Sanjay Padode, Secretary, CDE, IFIM Institutions.

Working with Indian law colleges has enabled our students to understand the workings of the Indian legal system and gives them an opportunity to understand law in a global context.
