Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile: The website of the centennial University Magazine debuts
Witness of a century. Aligned with the UC 2020-2025 Development Plan , with a strong emphasis on public engagement and digital transformation, Revista Universitaria debuts with its own website. “We cannot ignore that digitization is an operational requirement today. In the case of publications, it is already an imperative need, since digital natives already associate reading with a screen ”, explains Miguel Laborde, director of the magazine .
The objective of migrating to a digital platform is to expand the reach and readership of the magazine through a consistent website, thought from the valuable content and user experience, as well as to contribute to the digital positioning of the medium in new audiences.

The task of transferring the analog content to a digital version has been developed by the production team, in close collaboration with the IT Department. The result: a high-quality digital platform, with dynamic, interactive, versatile, inclusive and contingent content.
The same paper articles will be disseminated digitally and complemented with other audiovisual resources and tools such as podcasts, videos and audios, thus enhancing the contents, keeping them updated and accessible to all types of users.

The authority highlights the importance of digital transformation which, in its opinion, “has only brought us benefits”, also alluding to other goals that the UC has set for itself. “ The university has embarked on a crusade to advance carbon neutrality. We care about the internationalization of our work, in addition to achieving a lighter format with the magazine, which can cross borders in a globalized way and which can be anchored to the supply of national and international libraries, archives and magazines ”.
