Gurushala Summer Champ – One of its kind Virtual Summer Camp
New Delhi: Gurushala, an initiative of Indus Towers Ltd. and Vodafone Idea Foundation and is implemented by Pratham Education Foundation. Gurushala in association with Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in Maharashtra and Government teachers from Dantewada Chhattisgarh commenced with the first-of-its-kind free of cost and digitally aided “Summer Champs Camp” for more than 500 students across India within the age group of 10 – 16 years belonging to various communities and schools.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic and with no more online classes, even parents were clueless. To rescue them, Gurushala decided to hold the virtual summer camps to connect with the young and budding talent while ensuring safety. Fun-filled sessions and a few of recreational activities to help kids beat the boredom amid the ongoing lockdown.
Gurushala Summer Champs has come up with ingredients to help children hone their academic skills and learn different life skills which will not only help themselves but also the community they live in. The camp also introduces innovative ways and opportunities for students to learn and develop new hobbies.
Special sessions will also be organised where experts will share their valuable experiences with students and expertise them. The planned activities include an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and meeting a Robot Scientist, the future of Cars and getting acquainted with an automotive engineer, learning about the evolution of big bang theory and understanding about the economy of the world, etc to keep them engaged.
