PetrSU at the Congress of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia

Employees of the Institute of Forestry, Mining and Construction Sciences took part in the reporting and election Congress of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
A report-and-election Congress of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia took place in Moscow. At the Congress, the results of the activities of the Union of Mechanical Engineers over the past 5 years were summed up and the main directions of development of the Organization for the coming years were outlined.

The Russian Engineering Union is the largest public organization established on July 27, 2007. The main goal of the organization is to promote the creation of a competitive, dynamic, diversified and innovative economy of Russia on the basis of the domestic machine-building complex.

The union represents the interests of about three million workers in various industries. It includes the largest corporations and companies in high-tech industries. To date, more than 600 branches of the organization operate in 72 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Our republic was represented at the Congress by 3 organizations – Petrozavodsk State University, AEM Technologies Petrozavodskmash and Petrozavodskmash Mining and Metallurgical Complex LLC.

During the voting, the General Director of the State Corporation “Rostec” S.V. Chemezov.

During his speech, Sergey Viktorovich noted the important role of educational institutions that provide training of highly qualified personnel for various branches of mechanical engineering. On the basis of the Union of Mechanical Engineers, 5 councils for professional qualifications have been created, which have already conducted an examination of over 400 federal state educational standards of higher education.
