NSS Unit of GDC Doda organizes Doctor’s Talk on Covid-19 disease and its vaccination

Doda: The NSS Unit of GDC Doda organized a live interaction namely “Doctor’s Talk” for Covid-19 disease and its vaccination, under the patronage of Dr. Shafqat Husssain Rafiqi, Principal of the college. A noted physician and neurologist from JK Medicity Superspeciality Hospital, J&K UT, Dr. Davinder Singh Rana, addressed the students with his insightful talk. He is an alumnus of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. After working for few years in Delhi, he decided to serve his own people in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He has more than 12 years of experience as a medical practitioner. In the live session he focused upon covid-19 virus, its disease manifestation, complications, treatment and vaccination. He emphasized upon the role of vaccines in the current pandemic. The different myths about vaccines commonly observed in the society were also cleared. About 50 participants from different colleges of the Union Territory participated in the talk. The talk was followed by a detailed question and answer session. The students enthusiastically asked their queries and resource person answered the same to their utmost satisfaction. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer at GDC Doda, J&K UT. Mr. Zain Bin Hussain Batt, Assistant Professor, Political Science also joined the event.
