DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for APMKB at Tiker; Stresses for strict implementation of CAB
Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din along with Additional District Development Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Lone and team of concerned officers today visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Asthapan, Tiker in Kupwara district to review the arrangements being put in place by the Administration for smooth conduct of week long Annual Pilgrimage of Mata Kheer Bhawani Asthapan(APMKB), commenced from June 13.
The DC was informed that elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
Police has made adequate Security arrangements wherever required including in and around Asthapan.
On the occasion, the Tehsildar Kupwara was ordered to act as Duty Magistrate for the purpose and he will also monitor/ coordinate the arrangements being made by the different departments. Likewise, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara was asked to keep an available team of Doctors along with sufficient Medicare and Test kits/vaccine doses during the days of Pilgrimage.
Assistant Director FCS &CA Kupwara shall ensure the availability of essential commodities in the area while as Assistant Director Fire & Emergency Services Kupwara was directed to keep fire tenders available at the venues.
The Executive Engineer Electric Division Kupwara shall ensure un-interrupted Power Supply to the said area during these days and Executive Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Kupwara shall provide potable Drinking water through tanker services during the days of pilprimage.
Executive Officer MC Kupwara was directed to make necessary arrangements in respect of sanitation etc. He was also asked to ensure cleaning of the site/road leading to the venue.
The DC also urged all stakeholders including all devotees and management to strictly adhere to COVID-19 appropriate behavior and protocol including use of masks.
Later, DC inspected the undergoing construction work of the Asthapan.
