Shell Lubricants Organises The 6th Edition Of The Metals Technology Forum

Bhubaneshwar: Shell Lubricants, the global market share leader in finished lubricants, held the 6th edition of its Metals Technology Forum today in Bhubaneshwar. Attended by leading industry experts and senior officials, the event discussed the most pressing challenges, trends, solutions, and opportunities in the metal and steel industry. Additionally, the forum also discussed the key focus areas for vendor partners, and the technological edge provided by lubricants in the metal industry, while identifying new-age solutions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) represents Shell’s approach to lubrication as an essential value-chain component to enhance profitability.

The event also showcased Shell Lubricants’ innovative technology and its holistic industry-relevant solutions, with a special focus on offerings for modern steel plants.
The event was attended by over 100 participants from metal and steel companies. Key topics discussed during the forum included the growth of the Indian metal sector; operations and challenges in the metal sector and its impact on optimizing TCO; new trends and technologies offered by lubricants and customer expectations, and the integration of end-to-end supply chains to reduce TCO.
The forum was led by Mr. Praveen Nagpal, Chief Technology Officer, Shell Lubricants India, Mr. Vineet Thakar, Vice President Sales – B2B, Shell India, and Mr. M Ragha, B2B Marketing Head, Shell India. Additionally, reputed leaders like Mr. Syamal Kumar Biswas, VP – Blast Furnace and Sinter Plant, Bhushan Steel Limited, Angul also presented at the event.
