J&KITCO organizes first ever River-rafting training for HP Youth

JAMMU: J&KITCO Ltd, a Jammu based Government Company, through its branch office at Hamirpur (HP) has organized first ever river-rafting training programmes for the youth of Himachal Pradesh in the district of Hamirpur.

The training programme has been sponsored by Department of Tourism Hamirpur, HP. The river-rafting training programmes shall be executed in four phases to impart training to nearly 100 youth of Himachal Pradesh. The objective of the training imparted to the youth of Himachal was to encourage the participants to exploit this opportunity of learning river-rafting with full zest and vigour and also sees it as a job opportunity. Surprisingly, there was a good participation of women candidates who had shown keen interest for the same.

Apart from River-Rafting, J&KITCO Ltd. has also been organizing training programmes on Home Stay, Basic Tourism Programme, Tourist Guide, Dhaba Owner, and Trekking etc in other districts like Chamba and Kangra (HP).

The programme was inaugurated by SDM Naudaun, Vijay Diman and Tourism Officer, Ravi Dhiman along with J&KITCO Hamirpur Branch Head R. L Parmar.
