Bhubaneswar: XIM University has successfully commenced its academic session for the doctoral and
post graduate programmes via virtual mode consecutively for the second time in the
row. The University was also among the first institutions to successfully complete the
last academic year on time in the online platform.
XIM University which has recently undergone a name change for upholding its legacy
and brand building, successfully held its inauguration and orientation programme for
Executive MBA (Batch of 2021-2022), MBA- Business Management, MBA – Human
Resource Management and MBA – Rural Management, Batch of 2021-2023 along with
the Doctoral Programs of Xavier Institute of Management, School of Human Resource
Management, School of Rural Management on 5th July 2021 (Monday).
The inaugural ceremony was chaired by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Fr. Antony R.
Uvari, S.J., along with the Registrar, Fr. E.A. Augustine, S.J. and the Deans of the
respective schools under the University. The Associate Dean, Admissions Prof. Bikram
Kumar Bahinipati presented the student profile of the batches followed by the inaugural
address by the Vice Chancellor, Fr. Antony R. Uvari, S.J. and finally the faculty
introductions by the Dean, Xavier Institute of Management, Prof. Shridhar Kumar Dash,
Prof. Andrew Dutta, Dean, School of Human Resource Management and Prof. Niraj
Kumar from School of Rural Management. The inauguration ended with the vote of
thanks by Fr. E.A. Augustine, S.J., Registrar, XIM University.
The disruption in continuity of education due to the COVID 19 pandemic has presented,
among teachers and students, a very natural concern for the future. This is a crisis like
no other and despite the uncertainty, we can and have to chart a path forward. This
adversity has helped the University to reimagine education system, restructure
pedagogy and re-equip technology with state-of-the art equipment.
The University since the past year has tried to suitably adapt to the digital platform in
their ecosystem of education and make use of it, to transform teaching and learning
methodologies in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. The University is up for this
challenge and are equipped with the essential modes of IT enabled platform to deliver
quality education to their students across the country.
The Vice Chancellor in his speech addressed the students and requested them to tap all
the opportunities offered in the University, enhance their mindset, and nurture one’s
own development as they grow within XIM University’s learning environment and
become the pride and joy of their parents, teachers, university, and the country as a
whole.
