Ural Federal University: University Swimmers Became the Best at International University Competitions

Student-athletes of the Ural Federal University swimming team won gold medals in flipper swimming at the international university competition in Tomsk. The guys won in the 4 by 100 meter relay swimming. Stepan and Daniil Vorobyov, Alexander Khudyshkin and Ivan Tolstobrov took part in the “gold relay”. This is the first team achievement of the UrFU team – previously there were only individual achievements.

One more medal, silver this time, was won by the Ural Federal University team in 4 x 50 meter relay swimming – classical fin swimming. Our students won two silver medals (50m diving, 100m fin swimming), Alexander Khudyshkin added silver and bronze to his collection of medals in fin swimming (200m and 800m respectively).

Moreover, Daniil Vorobyov (4th place in the 100m finswimming), Ivan Tolstobrov (6th place in the 200m classic), Ekaterina Nalimova (6th place in the 800m finswimming), Maria Cherkashina (6th place in the 50m classic) showed good results in the individual swimming events.
