He takes over the role from Dr. Devi Singh, who completes a successful term with FLAME. Prior to FLAME, Dr. Singh was director at the Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow and MDI-Gurgaon.

A reputed scholar in organizational behaviour, negotiation analysis and decision making, Dr. Kamdar brings with him a wealth of interdisciplinary knowledge and global experience, having led an internationally top ranked B-School, which will help strengthen FLAME University’s position as the pioneer of liberal arts education and a University of Choice in India. His career and research have kind of honed him perfectly to take FLAME to new heights by adding deeper research, greater academic rigour and new cutting-edge offerings. We are all very excited to have him.”
Expressing his thoughts on joining FLAME University, Dr. Dishan Kamdar said, “I am very excited to begin my journey at FLAME University, which has made rapid strides in liberal education in a short span of time.
Today, India and other countries across the world are facing some of the biggest political, socio – economic, environmental and technological challenges. Furthermore, the world is getting smaller and the rise of internet, social media and artificial intelligence has created new challenges and opportunities. Tackling these requires the expertise to think critically and having an in depth understanding of how these forces will impact us in the future.
I believe that liberal education will provide the next generation leaders the necessary skill sets to overcome these challenges. Given the emphasis on learning, thinking and communicating via creativity and problem solving and a multidimensional perspective towards issues affecting the world around us, our next generation will be able to find creative ways to resolve issues and more importantly manage adversity. I am confident that many liberal arts graduates will take on the mantle of being the harbingers of change globally and envisage FLAME University playing a significant role in this transformation.
I look forward to working with the outstanding faculty, students, alumni and staff at FLAME to make it one of India’s most reputed and respected universities in the next few years.”
