Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav; ADC Basohli presides over awareness Campaign on NGDRS

KATHUA : Additional Deputy Commissioner, Basohli Tilak Raj Thapa presided over an Awareness programme on National Generic Document Registration System ( NGDRS) to educate citizens including Advocates, Stamp vendor, Petition writers of Basohli Sub District today.
Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Patwaris, Advocates, Stamp Vendor, Petition writers and other revenue staff of Sub District Basohli attend the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC Basohli, who is also holding the additional charge of Sub Registrar Basohli, said the NGDRS, developed by Department of Land Resources, Govt. Of India was launched with the aim to make and maintain Uniform Land Registration and other document registration. He said NGDRS would help the general public, Advocates, Stamp Vendors, Petition Writers in different ways.
The system is unique in the sense that the land details, circle rates for stamp duty and Registration fee in respect of various documents has already been updated in the system, making the Registration system transparent, he added.
Revenue field staff was also advised to prepare the revenue papers in prescribed manner after the visiting the spot of property proposed for sale.
