Maiden Fencing coaching Camp for staff, students begins in Doda

 

DODA : Department of Youth Service & Sports Doda today started its maiden residential coaching camp for Physical Education Masters, teachers REKs and students (Boys and Girls) in the discipline of Fencing First time here at Sports Stadium.

About 20 staff and 75 students drawn from different institutions of District Doda are taking part in the sixteen day camp which will continue till August 9, 2021.

The Camp is being held under the guidance of Advisor to LG, Faroq Khan and under the patronage of Mohammad Ashraf Batt, Director Youth Service & Sports UT J&K and under the overall supervision of District Youth Service & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Doda.

The main motive of organizing the coaching camp is to train PEMs/PETs/REKs and students in this new Game and enable the students of this backward and hilly district to participate at state, National and International Level.

At the outset DYSSO Doda, Jaffar Haider Sheikh welcomed the trainee teachers and students in the presence of ZPEO Doda and sports lovers.

He advised the trainees and students to take interest in this new game and follow the SOP’s and Guidelines of COVID-19.
