Omega Seiki Mobility Signs MoU with Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation to create employment opportunities in Rural India
Company is investing 100 Cr. and will be creating 10,000 jobs in 2 Years in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh
New Delhi: Omega Seiki Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OSM), part of Anglian Omega Group of companies and Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation (YREF) signed MoU today, to set out the framework under which OSM and YREF will set up a complete electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Omega Seiki Mobility will be investing 100 Crores in the state and will be creating 10, 000 jobs in the next 2 Years in Ghazipur.
Mr. Sanjay Rai Sherpuria is the founder of Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation (YREF). YREF works very closely with ventral and state Govts. to create self-employment opportunities for rural youth of the country. The foundation has been working with several Govt./ non-Govt. agencies past many years in its mission to generate enough entrepreneurial opportunities for enable rural youth in their domicile regions. This will eliminate the need for the youth to migrate to cities for employment etc.
While Signing the MoU Mr. Uday Narang, Founder, Omega Seiki Mobility said “We are thrilled to partner with Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation (YREF). That’s not all, we at OSM believe, that the EVs will also play a major role in targeting one of the biggest problems India is facing now – unemployment.”
Mr. Deb Mukherji, Managing Director, Omega Seiki Mobility said “There are almost 6.5 lakh villages in India of which more than a lakh is in Uttar Pradesh. With this programme we want to be a part of the Central Government’s efforts to generate employments via Skill India campaign.”
“Ghazipur is a pilot project for OSM and what we are planning to do is manufacture electric vehicles here and customise them based on the customer personal and business needs. We will be the first major automotive company to set up a facility in this region and will work closely with the government to put India First. Once the successful implementation of this programme is completed, we will first take the Ghazipur model to Ayodhya and Varanasi and then to the entire country.” Added Mr. Narang
Mr. Sunil Singh, CEO, Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation said “Omega Seiki Mobility and Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation is dedicated to work towards creating employment in rural India under the Emblem “Mera Rojagar: The soul of India resides in India”. The engagement of Youth Rural Entrepreneur Foundation (YREF) and Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) together will be responsible investment in the electric space for creating electric carts for street vending on electrical three-wheeler and two- wheelers.”
“The OSM factory would be set up in Gazipur of Uttar Pradesh with an aim to focus on the growth market of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. India has seven lakh village and we aim to target all seven lakh villages through our venture. We believe we will achieve great strides through experience of Mr. Uday Narang and Mr. Deb Mukherjee in this space.” Added Mr. Singh
Omega Seiki Mobility is a leading player in the Electric vehicles space in India. The company has designed, developed and now manufacturing its own 3-wheeler EVs under RAGE+ brand. The company also launched a refrigerated vehicle under brand name FROST recently to take care of vaccine and food deliveries.
