Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav; Sanitation, Plantation drive launched in Bari Brahmana

 

SAMBA : Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today launched a special sanitation and plantation drive in Bari Brahamana town as part of celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The drive was initiated in presence of Puran Chand (President), Tarsem Lal (Vice President) and other Ward Members.

Jodh Raj (Executive Officer), Ravinder Kumar Gupta (Assistant Sanitation Officer) Municipal Committee, Bari Brahmana, prominent citizens, besides other concerned staff of MC Bari Brahmana especially Safai-karamcharis were also present.

The main aim behind this special sanitation drive is to clean all areas of the town area and to provide better civic amenities to the residents and to prevent the causes of disease amid the covid-19 pandemic. The special sanitation drive will be a continuing process in all 13 Wards upto 15th of August 2021. The Deputy Commissioner urged the elected Ward Members and inhabitants of the town to participate and cooperate with the special sanitation team of MC Bari Brahamana for cleanliness of the uncovered areas and educate the general public about making “Clean Bari Brahmana-Green Bari Brahamana”.

The special activities taken up by the sanitation team are sweeping/cleaning of Streets/Roads, de-silting of drains, bush and grass cutting, Fogging, dusting of Lime over the drains etc.
