Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: NYK, DIC Rajouri organise awareness program on sanitation

RAJOURI : To celebrate the 75 years of India’s Independence under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Nehru Yuva Kendra in collaboration with the District Information Centre Rajouri has started a Swachata Fortnight awareness campaign on cleanliness and sanitation in the district .

The Swachata awareness programmes were held at two locations today and were well-coordinated and managed by National Youth Volunteers Akshay Khajuria and Ekta Thakur at Siot and National Youth Volunteer Mehnaz Akhter along with Altaf Hussain, President, Insaaf Youth Club at Fatehpur.

The public was administered the Swachhta pledge and the team members of the Nehru Yuva Kendra told that all of us should take this responsibility to make our surroundings clean and give the best possible contribution to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The IEC material was also distributed on the occasions.

The people were made aware of the benefits of cleanliness and sanitation on health and the environment besides, they were also appealed to shun the use of single-use plastic and go for eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic to keep the environment clean, neat and green.
