Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav; DC Samba distributes Sewing machines among poor widows

SAMBA : As part of celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” on the eve of 75th Independence Day, District Administration Samba in collaboration with Social Welfare department distributed Sewing Machines among young widows who are generally not entitled for widow pension.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner assured to extend full support to the beneficiaries by providing training in cutting and tailoring centers of Social Welfare Department. She said through skill development these women will become self dependent.
