DC Kupwara chairs DRAC meeting, 20 RACs settled

 

KUPWARA : The District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC), which met here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din, today approved 20 Rent Assessment Cases (RACs) of various departments.

As many as 28 rent cases were put up for discussion which include 9 cases of Handicrafts Department, 3 cases of FCS&CA, 2 each of Agriculture and Health department, 3 of Social Welfare and 1 each of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Floriculture, Horticulture, Handloom, Revenue, RDD, Library & Research and Education department.

The Committee approved 20 cases while 7 cases including 3 of Social Welfare and 4 of other departments were deferred to next meeting for proper justification and re-verification. Out of the total cases one got rejected.

The Committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures in which various government offices are functioning across the district.

Addressing the meeting, the DC asked the officers to pay rent dues to the concerned house/ land owners on time and ensure safety of the Government/rented property. He stressed upon the officers to strictly avoid pendency in offices, adding that pendency always effects the efficiency of the work culture of the concerned officer.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed, concerned Department Officers and house owners.
