Ural Federal University: A PhD Student Will Participate in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo
Elena Tretiakova, PhD student of Ural Federal University Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Youth Policy, Master of Sports of Russia International Class in athletics will take part in Paralympic Summer Games, which start today in Tokyo. Elena will run in 400 meters in the locomotor system disability category.
Elena Tretiakova trains under the supervision of Honoured Coach of Russia Boris Dvornikov. She started to do sports in her native city Chelyabinsk in the physical education classes at the boarding school, for what she is grateful to her first coach Peter Gvozdevsky. Since 2016 Elena is in the Russian national team, in her asset – silver of the European championship, victories in the championships of Russia and international tournaments.
