Flipkart started pushing the debit card EMIs last year and Amazon is all set to do that this year. Kaveesh Chawla, director, category management at Amazon says that the large appliances category had seen a growth of 100% since last year. Various programmes have been implemented such as exchange and no-cost EMIs on credit and debit cards. These have been the critical driver behind the high purchase for customers in Amazon.
