DC Anantnag holds interaction with Seva Bharati
ANANTNAG : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla Thursday held an interaction session with the members and volunteers of Seva Bharati, a Non Governmental Organisation at Khanabal, here.
Addressing the session, the DC said counselling of the youth at family and social level has a sound effect on their overall development. He hailed the efforts of the organisation for rendering its services in various fields like education, health, agriculture etc.
Pointing to the bad effects of drug addiction, the DC said that family and social checks have an important role to curb this menace. Teacher is a prominent figure of the society who motivates the students for both own and societal good besides maintaining the moral and ethical fabric of the society, he remarked.
Assuring full support from administration, the DC said the Youth Clubs will serve as vital links for the NGO to reach out to the youth of the district. The coordinated efforts, thus put in, will help the youth channelise their energies for nation building and development, he observed.
On the occasion, the organiser of the NGO, Jai Dev elaborated the work culture and activities of the NGO and said that it has 480 functional Kendriyas that provide services to public in different spheres of life.
The session was also attended by CPO and other officials of the administration.
