DC Ramban reviews implementation of JKRLM-UMEED

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today reviewed the implementation of UMEED scheme under Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) at the launch of SAATH- a Rural Enterprises Acceleration programme by the Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha.

The DC informed members of SHGs and other female participants that “SAATH” rural initiative is aimed at helping women to become self-reliant by covering them under the scheme.

The DC directed the JKRLM District Nodal Officer and Block Programme Officers to rope in maximum women under the scheme to provide them the means for sustainable livelihood.

The DC directed the concerned officers to link the Self Help Groups with vibrant markets to enable them to get maximum returns from the sale of their products.
