MSK team presents Baby Kits to newborn girl infants at GMC Rajouri , Educates female patients about women centric schemes

RAJOURI : A team of Mahilla Shakti Kendra (MSK) Rajouri headed by Dr Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer) today visited Government Medical College Rajouri and presented Baby Kits to newborn girl infants. The team also educated the female patients about the women welfare Schemes and took the feedback regarding the health services being provided to them.

This visit was made and scheduled on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan and according to the September 2021 activity plan.

Dr Anum Mirza (WWO Rajouri) and her team educated the patients about the women-centric schemes like Sukanya Samridhi Yojna, PMMVY, UJJWALA, Swadhar Greh, Janani Suraksha Yojna, Poshan Abhiyan, Women Helpline no. 181, Child helpline no, pension schemes, state marriage assistance scheme, national family benefit scheme and other women-oriented schemes.

The team also imparted awareness to the women about the role and responsibilities of the MSK including the way MSK supports the implementation of women-centric schemes and provides an interface for rural women to approach the Government for availing their entitlements.

The Visiting team also noted the grievances of some women regarding widow pension and skill development training and assured them to provide every assistance with the help of the concerned department.

Awareness regarding covid-19 was also given to the patients as this pandemic has suspended the lives of children and their families across the globe. District Co-ordinator Sanjana Thakur also accompanied the team and noted all the grievances raised by the female patients.
