AMU Dental faculty member delivers online lecture

Aligarh : Dr Shaista Afroz, Department of Prosthodontic, Dr Z A Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) outlined the conservative and surgical treatment strategies to cure Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, accessories used for stabilising and protecting injured joints, artificial replacements for teeth and other parts of the mouth and the protection of teeth and gums from injury in the two-day online seminar on ‘Connection between Mind and Oral Health: Advanced Daily Practice’ of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA), Indonesia.

“In the virtual programme on the theme, ‘Connection between Mind and Oral Health: Advanced Daily Practice’, I was invited to share knowledge on ‘Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Prosthodontic Appliances’ and specific complex cases that require additional time and research,” said Dr Shaista.

She added that the programme helped in upgrading dentist competence and knowledge of latest technology in the field.
