Huawei announces the start of registration for Huawei Cup 2021 – Eurasian ICT Competition

Huawei has been running this educational project for students and young ICT professionals since 2015. Its goal is to attract talented young ICT specialists and motivate them to develop their professional qualities on their own. Over the entire time, more than 50 thousand students and young ICT specialists have become participants in the competition. This year registration is open from 23 August.

Huawei Cup is Huawei’s flagship educational project in Russia, which for the seventh year in a row brings together thousands of talented young people who know how to work with modern ICT solutions. Competitors are ambitious young people who lack basic education in educational institutions, whose inquisitive mind is looking for new points for growth and self-development, who strive for new knowledge and innovative solutions. We are delighted to see the Huawei Cup provide them with new opportunities to experience the latest trends and technologies, broaden their career prospects, and become part of the global community of ICT experts. I am sure that the Huawei Cup will be the first step for the participants and winners on the path to professional achievements and research in ICT, and they will bring a lot of innovations to the dynamically developing IT sphere of Russia.

Students, postgraduates and graduates of higher and secondary professional educational institutions of 2021 from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, who have turned 18 years old, can take part in the competition.

You can improve your professional level and prepare for the competition at the free online school. Webinars and lectures from Huawei experts, which are dedicated to the most demanded areas of ICT, will help you to study. The school will introduce participants to practical cases and new technologies from Huawei.

Competitions take place in several stages. Registration is open from 23 August, the first stage quiz will be held from 1 September to 31 October.

This year, the competition is held in six nominations: AI (Models and Methods of Artificial Intelligence), Storage (Building Storage Networks), IP (Technologies and Protocols of IP Networks), 5G (Technologies and Standards for Mobile Communications of a New Generation), APP (Design mobile applications) and the nomination for novice journalists ICT Observer (ICT observer).

The main prize in the AI, Storage, IP and 5G nominations is a check for 10 thousand dollars, in the ICT Observer and APP nominations – the flagship device of Huawei . The finalists who took second and third places in all nominations will receive top Huawei gadgets .
