DIPR Cultural wing Jammu hosts drawing, painting competition
JAMMU : On the eve of Teachers Day, a painting competition on the life of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishna was organised by DIPR Jammu’s cultural wing at Udhampur.
Around 9 Schools Participated in the painting competition. The motive of the painting competition was to mark teachers’ day and to educate students about the importance of the teacher in their life and encourage their creativity by providing them an opportunity to portray their feelings about what new or extra they want from teachers.
The participating schools were Army Public school Udhampur, Kendriya Vidyalaya no 1 Udhampur, Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Udhampur, Sheemaount International school Udhampur, Brahmrishi Bawara Shanti Vidya Peeth Udhampur, National Academy High school Udhampur, Nehru Memorial High school Udhampur, India Kids School Udhampur and little Flower convent school Udhampur.
Kavya from Brahmrishi Bawara Shanti Vidya Peeth stood first, Nitya from Army Public school Udhampur got second position while 3rd place was bagged by Vaidehi. Consolation prizes were given to Tanushree of Kendriya Vidyalaya no 1 Udhampur and Anjali Sharma from National Academy High school Udhampur.
The competition was Judged in Udhampur M.R Sharma, senior artist of Udhampur and Suresh Kumar, Senior Cultural Assistant Cultural Wing Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu.
Similar drawing and painting competition was also organised at Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir Amarvilla Jammu on the same theme.
Over 20 Students took part in the competition. Principal, DBN Amarvilla, Ranju Malhotra and Vijay Anand, Drama Instructor, Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu were the Judges on the occasion.
First prize was given to Suveheni Abbi, Second prize went to Gurjyot Kour and Third Prize was bagged by Palak Sobti. Maitree Dewakar and Rudali Dogra got consolation prizes.
