LPU to organize three-day ‘Punjab Health & Wellness Expo 2018’ at LPU Campus in October
Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University (LPU) is going to organize three-day “Punjab Health & Wellness Expo 2018” at its campus. In this regard, Minister of AYUSH (Government of India) Shripad Yesso Naik has already released a detailed brochure of the slated Expo. This organization is to bring forward the spirit of “AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy), Organic Agriculture & Pharmacy Science in wellness and mindfulness. The ‘Expo’ will be organized in collaboration with nationally acclaimed non-profit organization ‘Namo Gange Trust’ (Haridwar). This initiative is to support continuous improvisation and to also lay importance of alternative medicine in our healthful lifestyle system.
While releasing the expo brochure, Minister Mr Shripad Yesso Naik congratulated all at the helm of the affairs for organizing such an informative event in the interest of the masses. He also wished for the grand success of the event, and promised to be especially present during the event. Chairman of Namo Gange Trust, Vijay Sharma also shares that the event is being planned to set a benchmark with the footfall of thousands of visitors from across the state and the country.
The event would be providing one of the most innovative platforms for exhibiting, promoting and representing the segment of alternative medicines, drugless therapeutics and ancient sciences of healing. It also includes various Health and Wellness activities, seminars, events, contests, competitions, health shows, free health check-ups, festivals and knowledge sharing interaction with world’s renowned professionals. In fact, striving towards the direction of improvising ‘Health & Wellness’, expo is going to create enormous awareness in masses. Illustrative, the event is open for the public, where free health check-up and consultation in health pavilion will be made available all three days. Students from different schools, colleges and institutions are invited to participate in various activities including poster-making, on the spot photography, live painting, nukkad natak, quiz contest, and Punjab audition of Grand and Little Masters of Yoga.
Senior Dean at LPU Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences Mrs Monica Gulati informed: “The aim and objective of the expo is to create mass awareness of ‘AYUSH’ subjects in the society. It is also to create a platform for natural products, health supplements & healing services. I also feel that the expo will prove as a single point interface with the end consumers & retailers, and also have direct interaction with industry manufactures & consumers. In fact, this endeavour will be a great experience of growth for our students.”
