Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: One-day convention on Covid Appropriate Behaviour held in Rajouri

 

RAJOURI: District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with the Health Department, today organised a day-long convention on COVID Appropriate Behaviour, here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow.

The event was held under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan.

Among the others, CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; PRIs, staff of the Health and Education Department attended the convention.

While interacting with the participants, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the vaccination for 45 years above age group in the district has been completed by putting in massive efforts with the active support and cooperation of the general public.

“Vaccination for the 18-44 age group has also achieved good progress in the district,” the DC said and advised the Health and Education Department and PRIs to play an active role in achieving the 100 percent coverage in shortest possible time.

The DC said that physical class work for class 10th and 12th have been resumed in the district and asked the teaching staff to ensure strict adherence to COVID related protocols in the educational institutions.

“Special teams for the random testing of the students for COVID19 after every ten days have also been constituted to avoid the risk of infection”, the DC informed.

“Time gap between the first and second COVID dose also matters for getting necessary benefits of the vaccine”, the DC said.

The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the efforts and contribution of the Education fraternity in the fight against Covid 19. He also asked for getting all the eligible beneficiaries of the district registered under the SEHAT scheme so that they can get the necessary health benefits under the said scheme.
