Government Degree College Sunderbani celebrates Hindi Diwas

 

SUNDERBANI : As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, Government Degree College Sunderbani today celebrated Hindi Diwas with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The function, held under the guidance of Principal Dr Vandana Gupta, started with the speech of Dr Mohammad Azam, (HOD Urdu). He delivered a detailed talk on the importance of Hindi language.

Prof Rabinder Kumar HOD Hindi hosted a symposium on the topic “Rashtriya Bhasha Hindi ki Samasyien Avam samhadhaan”. The students and faculty members participated in the event. The first position was bagged by Prerne Sharma sem 2nd, 2nd prize was fetched by Nancy Sharma of sem 2nd and third prize went to Kajal Sharma of sem 2nd.

The programme was judged by Prof Sheraz Kousser, (HOD Sociology), Prof Sham lal (HOD Economics) and Prof. Beant Singh (HOD Punjabi). Ravi Kumar and Rafiq Ahmed Rather were also present in the programme.

Principal of the College, Dr Vandana Gupta, said that it is a day to appreciate the importance of the language and give recognition to people who have done extraordinary work in promoting Hindi.
