SHOPIAN: On the directions of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K (Srinagar) Gazenffer Ali (JKAS),the Department of Youth Services and Sports Shopian under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta, Inter Zonal District level Tournament in the discipline of Kho-Kho, Volleyball, and Kabaddi Under- 14/17 year’s Boys, and Inter School Competitions in the discipline of Badminton Under-19 year’s Boys was held here today at Sports Stadium Batapora, Shopian.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta.

While speaking on the occasion, Dutta impressed upon the participants to take part in Games and Sports to get physically and mentally fit. He also congratulated all In-Charge ZPEOs, Activity In-Charge Event Conveners and Sports Employees and participating students for their hard work by which tournaments were conducted smoothly and safely.

The officers and officials of District Youth Services and Sports Office, Shopian, besides a large number of school going children and local youth were present on the occasion.
