ADC Handwara reviews progress of Sports infrastructure, playfields in subdivision

KUPWARA : The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara Nazir Ahmad Mir today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of development of sports infrastructure and play fields in various panchayats of Handwara Subdivision .

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues relating to the development of playfields in the Handwara subdivision.

The ADC asked concerned officers to visit the identified sites for further development of play fields. He said the Government is committed to develop sports infrastructure and playfields in every Panchayat halqa of the area to channelize the hidden talent of the budding youth of Handwara subdivision.

Earlier, the BDC Chairperson spoke in the meeting and raised several issues pertaining to the sports sector of the area.

Among others, BDC chairperson, Showkat Ahmad Pandith , besides, officers of Youth Services and Sports department and Rural Development department were present in the meeting.
