Realme announces design competition for YOUNG Designers
New Delhi: Realme, the No. 1 emerging smartphone brand in India, today announced a design contest titled Realme Design Contest , motivating the youth of the nation to explore their creativity. The ‘Proud to be Young’ brand has joined hands with various universities to launch the design contest. Through this contest, students from various universities will involve in a design journey creating the best youth oriented designs. Realme will customize the best designs and produce phone cases and wallpapers, which will be promoted globally.
The competition will be conducted in three stages. The contest begins today and all the entries will be accepted by 21st December 2018. The esteemed jury members will review all the works submitted by the students and will select the winner’s considering different levels of creativity, connectivity, thought process and attractiveness of the designs. The jury has been graced by well-known stakeholders in the industry like:
1. Eddie Opara , Partner/Chief Designer, Pentagram USA,
2. Chase Xu (TBD), Global Marketing & Creative Director of Realme
3. Radhika Mithal, Design Director of Realme India)
The final winners will be announced on 24th December 2018.
Announcing the competition, Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India, said, “We welcome the students to participate in the Realme Design contest. We believe, this contest will help us to explore the imaginative and creative power of young minds. We would like to extend an offer to the top winners to work with us and explore how Realme develop our offerings.”
The winner of the contest will win the title of ‘Master of Design”, winning INR 2,00,000 and one Realme U1, the SelfiePro smartphone launched recently. There will be four ‘Innovators” who will win INR 50,000 and one Realme U1 device each. The jury will be closely involved in choosing the Master and the Innovators. There will be a voting process in choosing five ‘Experts’ and hundred ‘Creators’. The Experts will receive Realme U1 devices and the Creators will get Realme Backpacks. Realme’s internal design team will also be involved in the selection procedure of Experts and Creators.
The honourable jury members will select 2 top winners from Master and Innovators category and will give a chance to get an internship at Realme Global.
